Under the patronage of Dr. Rwaida Al-Maaitah, Al-Quds Insurance Company hosted an awareness dialogue session at its new headquarters in collaboration with the Jordanian Business and Professional Women’s Forum and the Hussein Cancer Foundation, with the attendance of over fifty guests. The session was titled “To Continue the Journey of Work and Giving, Take Care of Your Health,” as part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month activities.
The session was opened by Dr. Reem Al-Baghdadi, Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the Jordanian Business and Professional Women’s Forum, who emphasized the forum’s role in supporting a business environment for women and the importance of physical and mental health in work, giving, and productivity.
The dialogue session took place on October 19, 2024, and featured distinguished speakers in the fields of mental health and breast cancer awareness. The session discussed the importance of early screening for breast cancer, especially for Jordanian working women, and highlighted the significance of mental health and its vital role in raising awareness about breast cancer.
The session was attended by prominent figures from Jordanian society, including Minister Khaloud Al-Saqaf, Minister Rabia Al-Ajarmeh, Minister Rabha Al-Dabass, and Member of Parliament Asia Yaghi, along with several leading women from various fields, reflecting the company’s ongoing commitment to supporting social, economic, and environmental goals that contribute to improving individuals’ lives.
The session was moderated by Dr. Rnad Al-Suhimat, a consultant in pathology and founder of Thalab Laboratories, and a board member of the Jordanian Business and Professional Women’s Forum. Participating in the session were Dr. Reem Al-Ajlouni, Director of the Jordanian Breast Cancer Program, who discussed the awareness program and the results it has achieved over the years, and Ms. Sirin Abu Meizer, a certified emotional intelligence consultant, who talked about the power of emotional intelligence as a lifeline for many toward a happy life. Additionally, Ms. Hanada Malhas, a breast cancer survivor, shared her experience and the role of regular screening in preventing the disease from spreading, emphasizing the importance of mental health and positivity in her recovery journey.
This event aims to raise awareness about the importance of physical and mental health, as well as the significance of regular screenings for early detection of breast cancer. It reaffirms Al-Quds Insurance Company’s commitment, along with its partners, to support the community and stand by it in important health issues.
