Apart from films, Sumit has also starred in the web series Test Case and Home.
Surbhi Jyoti, who catapulted to fame with her role as Zoya in the TV serial Qubool Hai, is all set to get married to her longtime beau, Sumit Suri. While the couple initially planned to tie the knot in March, their plans couldn’t turn into reality due to the unavailability of their preferred venue. Now, the pair are reportedly getting married on October 27 at a luxurious resort in Jim Corbett. And if you’re wondering about Surbhi’s husband-to-be, read on to know more about him.
Like Surbhi, Sumit is an actor. He was born in 1986 in Rishikesh. Before working in films, he starred in numerous advertisements. In 2013, Sumit made his acting debut with the 3D adventure thriller Warning alongside Manjari Fadnis, Varun Sharma, and Madhurima Tuli. Anubhav Sinha and Jitendra Jain produced the film.
He then played pivotal roles in films like What The Fish, Babloo Happy Hai, and Surkhaab, among others. More recently, Sumit was seen in the film 14 Phere, starring Vikrant Massey and Kriti Kharbanda. He played Vivek Karswara in the 2021 romcom.
Sumit has also starred in the web series Test Case and Home. He also owns a production company named Good Hands Films, which is based in Mumbai.
According to reports, Sumit and Surbhi met while they were shooting the music video Haanji The Marriage Mantra. Eventually, they started dating and fell in love. All this while, the pair managed to keep their relationship under wraps, avoiding speaking anything about it publicly.
However, Surbhi’s occasional posts on Instagram with her reported beau seemingly gave hints at their romantic relationship. Notably, Sumit doesn’t have an account on any social media platforms.
Speaking of their wedding, the pair planned to get married in Rajasthan earlier. As that couldn’t happen, Sumit and Surbhi chose another scenic location in the country, a lavish resort in Jim Corbett National Park. They will be exchanging vows in the presence of their near and dear ones.
According to a source quoted by Hindustan Times, Surbhi and Sumit’s wedding festivities will incorporate several unique and eco-friendly rituals. During their wedding festivities, the couple will honour the five elements of nature: earth, fire, air, water, and space. The source also revealed the wedding festivities will include other functions that strike a perfect balance between tradition and the couple’s love for nature.
