Popular television series CID is set to make a comeback with its second season. The show, which first went on air in 1998, came to an end in 2018. But looks like it was a long pause as the makers have confirmed the news season with the return of lead stars Shivaji Satam, Aditya Srivastava, and Dayanand Shetty. Fans are getting all nostalgic, reflecting on their favourite characters and special episodes. One such special episode featured none other than the Bollywood hunk Salman Khan who made a special entry on the show.
In the episode, Salman can be seen asking the journalist to call the police and ends up breaking the door with a kick in Daya style, leaving the goons shocked. The actor even got into a fight with the goons and taught them a lesson. In the end, the CID team reached the scene for investigation.

CID To Make A Comeback
Earlier this week, the makers shared a brand new teaser of CID 2, revealing the first look of actors Shivaji Satam, Aditya Srivastava, and Dayanand Shetty. With the show’s iconic theme music playing in the background, the actors make intense entries. “Mark your calendars – 26th October ko hoga ek dhamakedar promo drop!” the caption read.
The show originally enjoyed a 20-year run on Sony TV before going off air on October 27, 2018. It was celebrated as one of the longest-running TV series in India, with a total of 1,547 episodes. It featured a talented cast of actors like Shivaji Stam as ACP Pradyuman, Dayanand Shetty as Inspector Daya, Aditya Srivastava as Abhijeet, Dinesh Phadnis as Inspector Fredricks, Narendra Gupta as Dr Salunkhe, and others.
Details about the second season are yet to be known as well as whether the other characters will reprise their roles. Fans have been highly excited ever since the show was announced.
