Apart from the showbiz industry, Chahatt Khanna has also ventured into entrepreneurship, managing her fashion line company, which deals in apparel, particularly luxurious clothing.
Chahatt Khanna, famous for her role in Bade Achhe Lagte Hain, revealed that she rejected an invitation to join the new season of Shark Tank India. The actress-turned-entrepreneur recounted that she made the decision in accordance with the current orientation of her business. The business reality TV show has gained fame as prospective businesspersons present their venture to some experienced businesspeople, known as Sharks. The show’s fourth season will feature new guests including Kunal Bahl, co-founder of Snapdeal & Titan Capital.
While speaking to Times Now, Khanna stated that her brand’s current trajectory serves as the reason why she turned down an invitation to join Shark Tank India. She stated, “This year, they contacted us, but I did not want to go there because we are changing our category. Right now, we are not ready for Shark Tank, and we wanted to give it one more year”.
Apart from the showbiz industry, Khanna has also ventured into entrepreneurship, managing her fashion line company Ammarzo Industries Pvt. Ltd., which deals in apparel, particularly luxurious clothing.
Khanna entered the entertainment industry when she was just 16 years old. Her first commercial was for Cadbury, which was aired in 2002 and shot by Pradeep Sarkar. The same year she entered acting by featuring on the television show known as Sachi Baat Sabhi Jag Jane.
Khanna came into the limelight for her role as Ayesha Sharma in the successful soap opera Bade Achhe Lagte Hain which was aired from 2011-13. She also portrayed Nida Beg in another popular show, Qubool Hai. Her film career began with 7½ Phere: More Than a Wedding (2005) where she portrayed Piyaali ‘Piya’ Joshi. She also acted in other movies namely Thank You released in 2011 and Prassthanam in 2019.
Chahatt Khanna’s television projects include Hero – Bhakti Hi Shakti Hai (2005) as Princess Myra, Kumkum – Ek Pyara Sa Bandhan (2006) as Aashka Wadhwa, Kaajjal (2007) as Katie / Kaajjal and Darr Sabko Lagta Hai (2015) as Richa. Speaking to Financial Express, Khanna said that though she enjoys acting the most, she will strive to continue with her business.
