- Dungeon Clawler is an upcoming mix of dungeon-crawler, roguelike and…claw game?!
- Yes, in it you need to gather items by playing a claw game
- Play as a rabbit whose lucky foot has been stolen by an evil dungeon lord
Claw machines, or UFO Catchers, can be a real pain. It always seems as if they’re just a little too loose with their grip, and every time you grab that one amazing prize it always seems to slip away. Good thing then that you can experience the thrill of a claw machine, mixed with a liberal dashing of a dungeon crawler and roguelike deckbuilder with today’s subject; Dungeon Clawler!
In Dungeon Clawler, you play as a rabbit that’s lost his lucky foot to an evil dungeon lord. Naturally, that means you’re going to get it back. And to do so you’ll need to leap into turn-based battles where the twist is that all attacks and items are managed by playing a claw machine. Grab what you can or aim for the perfect item to beat your enemies!
You can also upgrade the pool of items you draw from, ensuring an element of predictability, while additional mechanics like an endless mode and four difficulty levels only begin to scratch the service of what Dungeon Clawler offers. You can find it currently in pre-registration on the iOS App Store, with a release date of November 21st.
Grab and go
In real life, claw machines can be a frustrating waste of money. But they are great fun once you get over that, and I like the mixture of randomness and forward strategy that Dungeon Clawler seems to encourage. I’ve got high hopes for how good this will be then, and with some positive reception already from its PC release, we can look forward to an even more feature-complete version I’m sure.
