A 31-year-old man faces numerous charges following a five-hour standoff with Windsor Police.
Officers were called to a residence in the 3300 block of Ypres Avenue Saturday at approximately 7:30 p.m.
Police said a male suspect refused to leave so officers set up a perimeter around the property and called in negotiators with the Windsor Police Service emergency services unit.

After repeated attempts to negotiate over a five-hour period, officers entered the property and arrested the suspect following a brief struggle, according to police.
The suspect is alleged to have forcibly entered a woman’s residence contrary to court-ordered conditions, threatened and assault the woman and refused to leave.
The woman was able to flee the home and seek help.
The man, who cannot be named to protect the identity of the woman, has been charged with forcible entry and confinement, assault wit a weapon, uttering threats to cause death as well as to damage property.
He also faces two charges of assaulting a police officer with a weapon, resisting arrest, mischief under $5,000, unlawfuly entering a dwelling and two counts of failure to comply with a probation order.
