The City of Regina’s waste services are moving to the winter schedule, meaning reduced hours and less frequent collection.
The final day of the summer schedule is Saturday.
The landfill, located on Fleet Street north of McDonald Street, will be closed Sunday and reopen on Monday to reflect the winter schedule. Hours of operation will be 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday. The entry gates will continue to close 15 minutes earlier.

The Yard Waste Depot, located south of the landfill entrance, will close for the season at the end of the day Saturday.
Until then, residents can drop off leaves, grass clippings, bush and tree trimmings and other yard waste, (which must be removed from plastic bags before it is disposed of).
The depot will reopen temporarily to support “treecyling” toward the end of December. More details will be made available closer to the holiday season.
While yard waste can go in the green bin year-round, green bin pickup will move to a bi-weekly schedule over the winter. Residents’ personalized collection calendars will automatically update in the city’s waste services app to show the change.
On Thursday Nov. 21, the Household Hazardous Materials Depot site hours will change to Thursday, Friday and Saturday, between 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. It will be closed Sunday through Wednesday.
