Man shot in North York, rushed to hospital: Cops

A man was rushed to hospital following a shooting Friday night in North York, police said.

According to a social media update by Toronto Police, reports of gunshots were heard and a person was shot in the Sheppard Av. W. and Jane St. area around 9:20 p.m.

Once officers arrived at the scene, they found a male victim who was injured, police said.

The victim was transported to hospital by an emergency run by paramedics.

In a subsequent update, cops said the shooting occurred outside.
