Windsor police have one person in custody and were hunting for a second suspect Tuesday after the pair allegedly beat someone with a metal pole, repeatedly stabbed him, and left him bleeding on the street.
Police said the victim’s injuries were life-threatening.
Officers responded to a report about an assault shortly after 10:30 p.m. Monday. It happened near the intersection of Pelissier Street and Erie Street West.

They found a 38-year-old man suffering from what appeared to stab wounds. The officers later learned that an argument had erupted between the victim and two other men.
The argument escalated into a physical confrontation. Police said the two suspects stabbed the victim multiple times and struck him with a metal pole.
Officers tracked down one suspect on Tuesday. Police said he will face charges of assault with a weapon and weapons dangerous.
Investigators are still searching for a second suspect, who is wanted on charges of aggravated assault, assault with a weapon, and weapons dangerous.
