The Windsor Police Service is asking for the public’s help to locate a second suspect linked to a violent stabbing incident that occurred downtown on Monday.
With one individual taken into custody shortly after the assault — in which the pair allegedly stabbed a man multiple times, struck him with a metal pole, and left him in critical condition — Windsor police have issued a warrant for a second suspect’s arrest.

Officers responded to a report of an assault shortly after 10:30 p.m. on Monday near the intersection of Pelissier Street and Erie Street West.
When officers reached the scene, they found a 38-year-old man who had sustained life-threatening injuries. He was transported to hospital for treatment.
An investigation revealed that a verbal argument had taken place between the victim and two other men. The exchange escalated into a physical confrontation. The two suspects allegedly stabbed the victim multiple times with a knife and struck him with a metal pole.
Officers are searching for 30-year-old Skylar Scott, who is sought on charges of assault with a weapon, assault causing bodily harm, and possession of a dangerous weapon.
Windsor police describe Scott as an Indigenous male, roughly five feet, 10 inches tall, of medium build, with long, curly black hair pulled back in a ponytail. At the time of the incident, he wore a grey shirt and beige pants or shorts.

On Tuesday, officers located and arrested 39-year-old Jeffrey Major in the 800 block of Ouellette Avenue. Major faces charges of assault with a weapon and possession of a dangerous weapon.
