- Tokyo Revengers: Last Mission is out now in Japan
- This 3D action RPG is based on the hit anime and manga series
- Brawl it out in Shibuya as you follow the storyline
Fans of the Kodansha Award-winning manga and anime series Tokyo Revengers can rejoice, sort of. The latest mobile game adaptation of the series, Tokyo Revengers: Last Mission, has just released in Japan. However, an actual Western release may be a ways-off just yet, with nothing yet announced.
Tokyo Revengers, as fans will likely already know, (but for those who don’t) follows Takemichi Hanagaki, a young man and former delinquent stuck in a dead-end job who finds out his one-time childhood sweetheart Hinata has been killed by the Tokyo Manji Gang. After a train accident Hanagaki discovers he has the ability to travel back in time, and aims to correct the timeline to prevent the gang ever coming into existence, by infiltrating it himself.
Tokyo Revengers: Last Mission offers an expansive 3D version of Shibuya to explore, as well as various battle maps inspired by the series’ iconic locations. Brawl and battle your way through the series storyline, playing as over 30 characters boasting various outfits from throughout the timeline.
Beyond Shibuya
Tokyo Revengers has been one of those series that has flown under the radar since it concluded in the West, however it remains tremendously popular in Japan. Little wonder then that another mobile adaptation based on the series was on the cards, but at the same time it’s a shame we don’t have any firmer of a release date for it coming to the West.
