- Challenge yourself and climb the leaderboards
- Procedurally generated runs
- Gorgeous New York cityscape
Developer Snowman has officially announced Skate City: New York, adding a new street skateboarding experience as the latest entry in the Skate City series. Landing on Apple Arcade on January 9th, 2025, it’ll have you cruising through everything from subways to neon-lit cityscapes across New York to flaunt your sick tricks.
In Skate City: New York, you’ll have to navigate through pesky obstacles standing between you and the perfect run – whether that’s taxicabs or pedestrians. Keep those combos coming by mastering wall rides and boardslides, all spiced up with procedurally generated paths.
If you thrive on competition, the Challenge Mode lets you earn Skate Cred based on how well you perform out there, while the Pro Skate Mode will have you setting high scores or duking it out with others in leaderboards.
Of course, if you’re in it just for the chill, the Free Skate Mode will have you taking your time and going at your own pace. You can also take photos to immortalise your experiences – after all, what’s the point of customising your streetwear if you can’t flaunt your flair?
You won’t have to wait too long until the official launch, but if you’re on the hunt for something to tide you over, why not take a look at our list of the best sports games on iOS?
In the meantime, if you’re eager to join in on all the fun, you can check out Skate City: New York on the App Store via Apple Arcade. It’s free-to-play provided you have a subscription to the service.
