SANCTIMONIUS ENDORSEMENTS

The Kamala Harris campaign consisted of nothing more than sanctimonious “celebrity” endorsements and Donald Trump-bashing.
To me, Kamala Harris is the American Justin Trudeau. She is just a hollow fake who pretended she could actually fix the mess she and Joe Biden created. She even bragged about having to be even more woke.
I’m sure the morally superior “celebrity” sermons and lectures to their underlings might have worked on some people, but I found them all simply pathetic and laughable.

HARRIS DIDN’T LOSE DUE TO GENDER
Re: How Harris lost race; Democrat failure in presidential election summed up in 10 points, column, Nov. 10
Warren Kinsella wrote that Kamala Harris “was a great candidate and that she lost because she was a woman.” It appears that either Kinsella wasn’t following the U.S. election campaign enough or he’s wearing anti-Trump blinders, or perhaps both.

Harris was a terrible candidate. She wasn’t able to answer simple questions or think on her feet, which is the reason she couldn’t go on Joe Rogan’s podcast. She could only recite what she was taught to remember. Then there were some of her insane policies, which she wouldn’t disown, such as paying for sex changes for criminals and illegal aliens.
Gender was the least of Kamala’s issues.

SEND THEM TO THE OFFICE
Re: Layoffs on the table; Feds look for ways to curb swelling size of public service, Nov. 12
I have no problem with reducing the federal public service because we certainly aren’t getting our money’s worth. Service is slow and getting to talk to a real person is time-consuming, if even possible. There is one public servant for about every 114 people in Canada. That’s the number of public servants (367,772 in 2024) divided into the country’s population (41,800,000, according to recent StatCan data), and that’s insane. With that ratio, taxpayers should be able to connect and get services within minutes, not days, weeks or months.

Yet they keep saying they can do more work from home … apparently not. There’s a reason for them to go to the office as there are fewer distractions. Get them back to work five days a week like everyone else.

NO TENTS, PLEASE
Re: ‘No trust anymore’; Residents gather to protest against city’s plans for tent structures for refugees, Nov. 11
If we can’t support newcomers in a humane manner, then don’t allow them in. Why on Earth can’t our government figure this out? I know, I must be expecting too much.
