Ahead of the official start of the 2024-25 National Lacrosse League season, the Saskatchewan Rush were in Oakville, Ont. for a pair of preseason games over the weekend.
In Saturday’s action, the Rush took on the Toronto Rock, posting a come-from-behind 11-9 victory.
Saskatchewan trailed 5-3 after the first half, but started a comeback in the third with one goal each from Jake Boudreau, Josh Zawada and Robert Church to enter the final period tied 6-6.

Church added another pair of goals in the fourth period, while teammates Clark Walter, Austin Shanks and Levi Anderson each scored once, to fight back and capture the win.
Frank Scigliano made 34 saves in net for the Rush.
On Friday night, Church led Saskatchewan with four goals as they claimed a 13-8 victory over the Las Vegas Desert Dogs.
The Rush took an early 5-3 lead after the first period, thanks to a pair of goals from Brock Haley and three from Church, who also added a single goal in the second period to give Rush a 6-3 lead at the break.
Seven different Saskatchewan players scored in the final 30 minutes to secure the win, with Thomas Kiazyk making 37 saves throughout the game.
The Rush will begin the NLL regular season on Nov. 30 at the Albany Firewolves and will make have their home opener on Dec. 14 against the Halifax Thunderbirds.
