Rubber Duck: Idle Squad Game
Available on: iOS + Android
Take on everything from evil genies to gold-filled mine carts as Rubber Duck Q, a seemingly ordinary rubber duck who’s roped into the league of Super Ducks to save Rubbertopia. Evolve into the hero your land deserves with powers from Dr Quack, then take on the nefarious forces of the Evil Plastic Duck across this quirky RPG.
With idle elements infused with bullet-heaven mechanics, this auto-battler will have you collecting all kinds of rubber duckies to join you on your quest, with more than 24 different variants that each has its own skills and looks. There’s a thief rubber duck, a sheriff, and one that looks suspiciously like Robin Hood – with these duckies by your side, there’s truly no stopping your adorably squishy squad.

Mister Antonio
Available on: iOS + Android + Steam
We’re all arguably put into this world to serve cat overlords, aren’t we? In Mister Antonio, the titular kitty master certainly loves rubbing that idea in your face given how you’re to fulfil his every whim to progress through the game.
This minimalist puzzler strays a bit from developer Bart Bonte’s usual series of colour-themed brainteasers, and instead tasks you with obeying every command your bossy black cat gives you. You’ll need to collect balls of yarn in a particular order or colour sequence else you risk the wrath of your so-called feline friend, who might just lock you out of your own house. That’s more than enough motivation to get to it, isn’t it?

Globs (2024)
Puzzlers come in all shapes and sizes, and in Globs, you’ll play as a rectangular, well, glob, as you try and navigate a series of pixel-art landscapes to clear each stage. It’s a game of physically impossible proportions as you stretch and squeeze your way through tricky platforms, all to collect that shiny star at the end of every level.
There are more than 40 of them to try and overcome, with quirky characters and cute animations across four themed worlds. There’s a Northern Lights-themed stage too – after all, who wouldn’t want to squeeze through tight gaps just to get a glimpse of that majestic beauty?

Auto-chess meets tower defence in Fantasy Voyager, a dark fairy tale retelling of all your classic faves you think you’ve always known. Little Red Riding Hood, Snow White, and Peter Pan have been reimagined with a darker twist, with a stylised character art that makes each new hero a thrill to collect.
Apart from building your squad of legendary icons like Wukong and Blackbeard, you can also form bond combinations to boost their combat skills and builds. Plus, you can enjoy all this with one-handed play for the ultimate mobile adaptability.

Vinland Tales: Viking Survival
Developer: Colossi Games
Available on: iOS + Android
Gather resources, build your settlement, and try to make it through the harsh night across this Viking-themed survival RPG. Discover the tale of the great Viking explorer Leif Eriksson as you manage a Viking colonial village, keeping your clansmen happy and building your defences against the armies of the Ragnarok.
While most survival games will have you fussing about your HP with each passing second, Vinland Tales offers a more forgiving approach in the form of a replenishable health pool, opening up more opportunities to explore without worrying about meeting an untimely death.
