Windsor police are reaching out for the public’s help to identify a suspect months after a serious assault occurred on the city’s west side.
On the early morning hours of Aug. 16, officers responded to a report of an assault in the 3500 block of Peter Street.
Arriving just before 3 a.m., they found a man who had sustained several injuries, including a concussion and a fractured left knee.

Police said the man was confronted by a woman after he exited a taxi. She allegedly initiated a verbal argument that escalated into a physical altercation.
It’s alleged she struck the man multiple times and continued to assault him as he lay on the ground.

Police obtained a photograph of the suspect. She is described as a white female between 30 and 40 years of age, with a medium build and long, straight brown and blonde hair.
She was wearing a light-coloured skirt and shorts and black, high-heeled boots that extended to her knees.
The woman left the scene in a light-coloured Dodge pickup truck, accompanied by two men.
The first man is described as an approximately 30-year-old white man, wearing a black baseball cap, white t-shirt, black shorts, black cross body bag and black running shoes with white soles.
The second man is described as a white male, approximately 30 years old. He wore a black baseball cap, black t-shirt, black shorts and white Nike running shoes with a black Nike swoosh.
Investigators are asking residents and business owners in the area to check dash-cam or surveillance footage for evidence related to the case.
