WHAT ABOUT HUNGER AT HOME?

Re: Trudeau, Biden talk rule of law at G20 summit amid meetings on global hunger, online, Nov. 18
Let’s hope this is one of Justin Trudeau’s last expensive virtue-signalling photo-ops before he hopefully leaves politics. Unpopular at home, Trudeau obviously enjoys travelling outside of Canada. Each time Trudeau attends one of these meetings, Canadian taxpayers end up on the hook for millions promised to foreign countries.
Trudeau was meeting peer countries focusing on ending hunger. Rather than committing millions fighting hunger abroad, hypocrite Trudeau should look at hunger in Canada. His radical policies, including the war on fossil fuels, have drastically driven up the cost of food.
Tent encampments are showing up across Canada, more are living on the streets, and welfare and food banks cannot keep up with demand. Trudeau should concentrate on hunger at home rather than abroad.

MINISTER NEEDS TO RESIGN
Re: ‘I apologize unequivocally’: Boissonnault says he was not ‘clear’ about his ties to Indigenous ancestry, online, Nov. 15
Employment Minister Randy Boissonnault was “caught” making false statements about his Indigenous background.
This Liberal minister has apologized — and has left cabinet — but has not done the honourable thing, which would be to resign his seat. So Boissonnault has confessed his sin, but has not repented. This is like a problem drinker saying, “Yes, I’m an alcoholic,” but refusing to get sober!

Surely there was a way to squeeze more out of the working class
Guilt-beau the Grinch’s green dream required more and more cash
$200 billion had already been so foolishly spent
Their evil carbon taxes not even making a dent
But we are saving the planet they said on a woke crusade
Jetting off to countless conferences was a Liberal charade
Next year ends our tears
