- Star Wars: Hunters is coming to PC in 2025
- The Steam version will come into early access with improved visuals and effects
- Sadly, no mention of cross-play, at least not yet
Fans of Star Wars: Hunters can rejoice, because soon you won’t only be able to play this team-based battler in a galaxy far far away on your phone, but also on PC! In the first move of its kind for the developer, Zynga is set to bring Star Wars: Hunters to PC via Steam, starting with early access in the far-off year of 2025.
Already available on iOS, Android and Switch, Star Wars: Hunters sees you take on the role of gladiators in an intergalactic Grand Arena on the planet Vespara, set between the original and newest trilogies. In it, you play as everything from stormtrooper deserters to rogue droids, sith acolytes and bounty hunters.
The PC release will boast higher-resolution textures and effects, alongside keyboard and mouse support, not to mention rebinding in case the default control style isn’t your bag. So if you’ve enjoyed Star Wars: Hunters and want to see it on the big (or bigger) screen, keep an eye out going into 2025 for more info.
They fly now
While this is definitely exciting news for us, not to mention for Zynga with their first foray onto PC, I couldn’t help but notice one crucial detail missing. Yes, cross-play isn’t mentioned in any of the information we’ve been given. Now that’s not to say it definitely won’t be included, as it could very much be early in the works; however, it’s still a crucial detail to omit.
Ideally, we’ll find out more soon, but hopefully,y you won’t need to split progression between platforms. Star Wars: Hunters is well worth a go, and being able to play it on even more screens is one heck of an early Christmas present to be announced.
