- The Cyclone 2 is compatible with iOS, Android, Switch, PC and Steam
- The Mag-Res TMR Sticks elevate Hall Effect technology
- Play with the RGB lights for fun
GameSir is once again levelling up its controller dominance with the new Cyclone 2, a multi-platform peripheral that’s compatible with iOS, Android, Switch, PC and Steam. Featuring TMR sticks that boast Mag-Res Technology as well as Micro-Switch buttons, the controller has tri-mode connectivity (Bluetooth, wired, and 2.4GHz wireless) to make sure there’s no excuse when you’re gaming on the go.
It does seem like GameSir has been rocking the controller scene as of late, and the Cyclone 2 looks to be adding to that popularity with its customisable RGB lighting strips. If, like me, you’re easily attracted to shiny things, these lights should be a great way to show your opponents that you mean serious business. It comes in Shadow Black and Phantom White too – colour options are always a good thing, in my opinion.
Now, I did mention the Mag-Res TMR Sticks, which, by GameSir’s own description, fuses “the precision of traditional potentiometer sticks with the durability of Hall Effect technology”. It’s a step up from the controller’s predecessor and promises to deliver even higher accuracy and better durability. After all, nobody wants to break their controller with a little bit of button-mashing.
There’s haptic feedback too, by the way, which is made possible via the asymmetric motors of the GameSir Cyclone 2. This supposedly offers vibrations that are immersive but subtle – a handy feature to have when you’re in the middle of a heated match.
Plenty of other features prop up the controller, and the full specs are available on the official GameSir website. With all that, if you’re interested, the GameSir Cyclone 2 will set you back by $49.99/£49.99 on Amazon, and if you’d like to pair your controller with a charging dock, this comes at a $55.99/£55.99 price tag for the bundle.
