Forward Zach Hyman will be with the team for their upcoming three-game road trip and may be available to play, according to coach Kris Knoblauch.
Hyman, 32, practised with Edmonton on Thursday after missing the last two games with an undisclosed injury he sustained Nov. 19 against the Ottawa Senators.
The left-winger exited the game after he collided with Senators defenceman Nick Jensen.
“He’s been going through the steps,” Knoblauch said after practice. “He’s feeling much better, and there’s a chance he’s playing this road trip sometime.”
Hyman has five goals and three assists in 20 games this season. He recorded 54 goals and 77 total points in 80 games last season, both career-highs.
Edmonton faces off against the Utah Hockey Club on Friday, the Colorado Avalanche on Saturday, and finishes the trip Tuesday in Vegas against the Golden Knights.
