Rod Stewart has just issued a rant against departing Masterchef host Gregg Wallace.
Gregg Wallace has hosted Masterchef for 17 years, but stepped aside earlier today following a host of complaints about his behaviour. 13 different people have submitted complaints to the BBC, including Scottish broadcaster Kirsty Wark, who was a Celebrity MasterChef contestant in 2011, who revealed he told “sexualised” jokes during filming.
“I think people were uncomfortable. We were essentially a captive audience. People looked embarrassed and just got on with their work,” she said.
“I was actually more angry than anything else, because I thought it was so inappropriate. And in a sense what I thought was it was about power more than anything else, that he felt he could.”

Gregg Wallace has stepped aside as Masterchef host pending an investigation, Wallace, saying he is “committed to fully co-operating throughout the process”.
Rod Stewart’s wife Penny Lancaster previously appeared on Celebrity Masterchef, and it appears her time on the show wasn’t a happy one. In a social media broadcaster Sir Rod Stewart, knight of the realm, called Gregg Wallace a “tubby, bald-headed, ill-mannered bully”.
The singer said the host “humiliated” Penny Lancaster, but the offensive parts were edited out of the show.
Spelling the host’s name Greg – surely a reference to an enduring Twitter meme – he signs off: “Karma got ya.”
It’s a big week for Rod Stewart, who just confirmed the Legends Slot at Glastonbury Festival next summer.
