In August 2023, the duo relationship was unofficially announced. Josh Allen, speaking on the Pardon My Take podcast, hinted at some of the difficulties the couple encountered while attempting to date privately.
The couple made their first public appearance together in October 2023. That month, Steinfeld went shopping with Allen’s mother at the Levelled Up Buffalo exhibition in East Aurora, New York. In July 2024, the couple took their romance to the next level by making it official on Instagram.
