Find out what our super attractive, talented and modest team have planned for the weekend
Hey there, welcome to our latest edition of The Wrapp.
This is a chance for you to see what the various members of the Pocket Gamer team are planning to play over this weekend and will, hopefully, give you an idea of some of the weird and wonderful things we get up to when we’re not keeping you up to speed with the latest news and tips. Heck, you might even find a new game to play.

Well, I am writing this on Wednesday, on my 10th day of running Pokemon Go events this month. So, this weekend, I think I’ll be taking a bit of a break from Pokemon Go! It’s just been a lot going on there. I have finally moved forward in Neopets: Faerie Fragments and am stuck on level 308.
I think that the fact that the game is sort of random – so there aren’t any starting moves to help you – is the reason why I get stuck so much. It’s sometimes a bit of a luck game – and with only so many hearts, I am still working through to get my prizes.

Much like Stephen and Shaun, I was initially planning on reliving my Tamagotchi days with Yolk Heroes: A Long Tamago this weekend – but alas, it’s still in pre-registration in my region! Now I know how Will felt each time I gushed about Capybara Go.
To drown my sorrows, I’m going to try my hand at Good Pizza, Great Pizza, because greasy cheese is always a good answer to life’s disappointments. It might also prep me for when Good Coffee, Great Coffee comes out!

This weekend, I plan to continue my ongoing adventures to bring down the Frog Lord in Yolk Heroes: A Long Tamago. It’s a great little game, particularly if you’re into 90s nostalgia and idle RPGs, something I cover more in my review, so please give that a read when you have a moment. Justify my words’ existence!
Since it’s an idle RPG, however, it won’t take up every waking minute. So, I also aim to check out two fairly recent releases. The first is Zombastic: Time to Survive, yet another entry in the bullet heaven or Survivors-like sub-genre. I probably know what to expect here by this point, but I still enjoy checking them out.
Alongside that, I’ll be dipping into Rumble Bag, something Cristina brought to my attention. In games like Resident Evil or, more recently for me, Dredge, I often find myself enjoying inventory management more than everything else, and that appears to at least play some role here, trying to stuff as many items into your backpack as possible before fending off waves of enemies using that gear.

I actually have plans with friends this weekend, but I am hoping to squeeze in some time to try out Path of Exile 2. Since I play a lot of mobile games during the week, sometimes I tend to go for some PC gaming during weekends.
If I have time, I would like to rank up my account in Teamfight Tactics (on the new set), and grind away some of the last levels in the new episode in Cookie Run: Kingdom. In case you don’t know, I also wrote an event guide for the Flower City Tile Match event, that runs for another few days!

As we’re closing out the year my attention turns to wrapping up loose ends. That means that I probably won’t be getting much gaming done. That said, I intend to fully annihilate the new solo challenges in Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket; A game that I would have definitely given up on playing if not for having a whole bunch of friends who play it and talk about it regularly.
Outside of mobile I’ve got access to Infinity Nikki, which I’m confident will break records left, right and center, and I’m planning on guarding… the veil? Well, at least putting some decent time into Dragon Age: Veilguard as I’m a massive fan of the series and have been avoiding spoilers for far too long to further stave off my urge to play.

I’ve got a lot of D&D to run this weekend, on top of planning and worldbuilding. However, after writing more about Dead Cells I admit it’s calling to me a bit, as I do love a bit of hardcore 2D brawling action.
Whether or not I go for it on mobile or PC is a different story, however, although it does occur to me whether or not a PC/Mobile bundle of games is something we may see in future…? Food for thought.

I happily don’t have many plans this weekend so I am able to sit down and properly get into a game. Luckily, one of my most anticipated games of the year dropped this week, so I will be properly getting to grips with Yolk Heroes: A Long Tamago. It’s been out on Steam for a while, but it belongs on mobile, no contest.
Whilst my little elf army is off on its idle chores, I shall also be continuing my adventures in Wuthering Waves. I recently unlocked a vaguely spoilery character, so now I have my ideal team and will be travelling the land, exploring and unlocking everything. It is an incredible game, can’t get enough.

I just found out that we have plans for the weekend so there’s that 🙂 But regardless, I do intend to play some Teamfight Tactics and figure out the meta in this new set 13. I’ve already watched some videos so I do have an idea but actually playing is different.
Other than that I’m still playing MU: Dark Epoch because I’ve met some nice people there and we do some daily stuff together.
Lastly, I think I might check out the new Pokémon game if I have time.

It seems like political intrigue may be in the cards for me in the future, so I’m going to investigate a bit. One of the games I enjoyed the most this year is Yes, Your Grace, and that’s because point-and-click controls are comfortable on the mobile platform. I’ve played a fair amount of point-and-click games in the past, but perhaps there are some that can really draw me in with the weight of my decisions and how the story progresses. Or maybe I can just mess around with stuff like Cultist Simulator and see how that goes.
I’ll be looking into slower-paced games but with less idling and more making things happen via my actions. Not every game can be the digital supreme being that is Dadish, but I can dream and I can try to find more tapping but with more impact. This might mean I’ll have to explore more text-heavy games, but hey, that just means I’ll have a more complex system on my hands… maybe. I just hope they won’t crash my machines.
