“A freak accident occurred when my parked car was hit from behind by a bus,” Tannaz Irani said.
Popular actress Tannaz Irani is known for her excellent acting skills, comic timing and charming personality. She has been part of many reality TV shows and films, such as Bigg Boss, Nach Baliye, Kaho Na Pyaar Hai, Main Prem Ki Diwani Hoon and many others. However, recently, she faced a series of mishaps in her life that too within two weeks. In an interview, the actress talked about the same, and her road to recovery is simply inspirational.
In an interview with Etimes, Tannaz Irani discussed the series of unfortunate accidents she faced within a short span of time. She revealed, “Two weeks ago, I fell in a movie theatre and sprained my left leg,” adding about another mishap that took place a few days later. She mentioned, “A freak accident occurred when my parked car was hit from behind by a bus. Fortunately, I was seated in the front, so I was unharmed, but the car was severely damaged.”
These two consecutive incidents happened only in a gap of two weeks when Tannaz Irani suffered a huge fall at a movie theatre while she was hosting a musical show. This left her with a sprained leg. “Then, as if that wasn’t enough, another mishap happened while I was compèring a musical show. While walking down a flight of stairs on stage, I tumbled backwards. Thankfully, I didn’t injure my head, back, or my hip, which had recently undergone replacement surgery. However, I sprained my right leg badly. Despite the pain, I got up and carried on with the show.” Her dedication to her commitments, even in the face of such challenges, is quite inspirational for her fans.
These unfortunate incidents took a significant emotional and physical toll on Tannaz. She shared, “These past two weeks have been overwhelming and have shaken me. Whether it’s juggling work or taking care of my kids, I’ve been pushing myself to keep going. Walking has become difficult, but I continue to work.”
For the unversed, Tannaz even underwent hip replacement surgery in November 2023. A few days ahead of the surgery, she opened up about the same in another interview with Etimes. She said, “It took me two years to diagnose my condition. Believing the issue was with my back and knee, I underwent numerous MRIs and X-rays and consulted multiple doctors for relief. Eventually, I was advised to undergo hip replacement surgery, which was scheduled a few days later. I was both nervous and excited. I’ve always been a positive person, so I felt ready for the surgery.”
In the same conversation, the actress even revealed a heartwrenching moment when her daughter looked back at the time when she was completely fit. She shared, “My daughter recently shared an old video of me running with shopping bags in London from a couple of years ago and wrote, ‘This was when mummy could run and walk’. I couldn’t hold back my tears because, since then, my family has only seen me limping around the house.”
We hope Tannaz recover soon and gets back to work in her best-fit way.
