A Mobile County judge on Wednesday ordered an aspiring country singer to wear an electronic monitor after the man violated his bond to attend the Country Music Association Awards with his wife.
Austin Tanner‘s bond was revoked in part under the condition he is placed under electronic monitoring. Tanner is also ordered to remain at his residence and can only leave for work and several other exceptions.
The exceptions include church, medical appointments, court appearances and attorney appointments.
A previous warrant for Tanner‘s arrest was also recalled.
Tanner in November posted photos of him and his wife posing outside the Nashville award show.
“Last night was nothing short of magical as we walked the red carpet,” he posted in a picture with his wife.
“To everyone who has supported my music and believed in this dream your encouragement has brought me to this unforgettable moment. Here’s to country music and the stories that bring us all together.”
The Orange Beach tax adjuster was indicted by a grand jury for insurance fraud, theft of property and attempted theft of property in April. The alleged victims were a condominium owner’s association and a Satsuma Baptist Church, according to an indictment.
According to filings, Tanner knew the conditions of his bond because he previously asked the court if he could go to Florida.
Tanner is set to stand trial in February.
