Kiran Kai and Jesse James Solomon align on new single ‘Bird Seed’.
As a producer Kiran Kai has built a stellar catalogue, working with some of the biggest names in UK music. He’s entered the studio with Skepta and Mahalia, while completing project between Los Angeles and India.
Long-awaited debut album ‘Ariel Blue’ is out on February 7th, and it displays the full breadth of his influences – a bravura work of audio autobiography, it moves between R&B and drill, left-field electronics and shoegaze.
New single ‘Bird Seed’ exemplifies his ability to cross genre lines. The murky production pivots on that slumped, hip-hop beat, with the fractured electronics displaying Kiran Kai’s world-building abilities.
There’s also a jazz-like flexibility, however, topped off by a whispered incantation from reclusive SE London maven Jesse James Solomon.
Tune in now.
