About five years since they launched, MDLBEAST’s Soundstorm festival has arguably put Riyadh on the map in terms of live events in the Middle East/West Asia region. For Soundstorm 2024, chart-topping star artists such as rapper Eminem, rap-rock band Linkin Park, U.K. rock trio Muse, pop artist Camila Cabello, EDM DJ-producer Calvin Harris and more slated to appear in Banban, Riyadh.
The Saudi Arabia festival has so far announced plenty more heavy-hitters – from hip-hop stars like Russ, G-Eazy, J.I.D., and Busta Rhymes to bands like Thirty Seconds to Mars and The Roots, pop hitmakers Akon, Jason Derulo, Tems, Latto and more.
Originally started in 2019, Soundstorm was focused on electronic music and this year’s programming continues to reflect that foundation. Everyone from Martin Garrix, David Guetta (going B2B with his Future Rave partner Morten) to DJ Snake, Alok, Afrojack (going B2B with R3hab), Axwell /\ Sebastian Ingrosso, Gordo, Armin Van Buuren, Black Coffee, Boris Brejcha, Solomun, Richie Hawtin, Meduza and more are expected to perform at Soundstorm 2024.
Regional stars also performing at the festival include singer Abdulmajeed Abdullah, Lebanese artist Elissa, pop artist Hassan Abouelrouss, DJ-producer Vinyl Mode, Ahmed Saad, Dalia Mubarak, Syrian singer Nassif Zeytoun and more.
A press release says, “Soundstorm’s commitment to delivering a world-class festival experience is evident in the carefully curated lineup that bridges different genres, from hip-hop and pop to techno and house, bringing together both internationally acclaimed stars and underground legends.”
Tickets for the festival start at 469 Saudi Riyal (approx. ₹10,500) (general admission for all three days), with VIB tickets priced at 4,499 Saudi Riyal (approx. ₹1,01,00) and upwards.
