Fashion icon and actress Sienna Miller, known for her impeccable style since her debut in the 00s, has subtly hinted at her new role alongside King Charles through her latest outfit choice. On December 12, the 42 year old star was officially announced as an ambassador for The King’s Foundation, a charity founded by the monarch in 1990.
The foundation is committed to fostering communities and transforming lives both domestically and internationally, advocating for the changes His Majesty wishes to see globally. The King’s Foundation covers a wide range of sectors where the King has been ahead of his time, including education, sustainability, farming, traditional arts, health, and architecture.
New York-born but London-raised, Miller has a personal interest in the foundation’s core values and plans to champion causes close to her heart ahead of the charity’s 35th anniversary next year. Textiles and textile production are two areas she hopes to contribute to, according to the foundation.
The announcement was made during The King’s Foundation’s annual Christmas carol service at St. Paul’s Church in Knightsbridge, where Sienna Miller also took centre stage.
She read Sir John Betjeman’s iconic “Christmas” alongside Angelica Ellis, an embroidery graduate from The King’s Foundation and CHANEL Metiers d’art Embroidery Fellowship. Her outfit, designed by the Foundation’s textile students, was a nod to her new role with the charity, reports The Mirror.
Sienna looked stunning in a navy double-breasted herringbone jumpsuit, paired with red open-toed heels and a matching clutch bag. Speaking about her new role, she said she was “thrilled” to be an ambassador “for an organisation with such an important ethos – looking to our natural world to create a better future for our planet.”
She added: “I am particularly looking forward to exploring my interest in textiles and textile production, which the Foundation has so much expertise in. I’m excited to support the huge range of hands-on opportunities for young people to develop their talents in the sector and see the amazing things they go on to next.”
Sienna is the latest high-profile star to join the foundation, following football legend David Beckham who joined in June.
