Swindon Town have drawn League One side Birmingham City at the Nigel Eady County Ground in the round of 16 of the Vertu Trophy.
The Robins will welcome the third division team after progressing to the next round with a 2-0 win over Wycombe Wanderers on Tuesday.
The tie will be played on the week commencing the 13th of January next year, with the game to be broadcast live on Sky Sports.
Similar to previous rounds, there will be no extra time played with the game going straight to penalties if the score is level after full time.
Birmingham are American owned with NFL legend Tom Brady being the co-owner and sit third in the league table, with the chance to go top if they win their games in hand.
The Blues qualified for this stage of the competition after defeating fellow League One side Exeter City 2-1, with former Swindon player Keshi Anderson scoring the winner.
The two teams have not met since February 2000, where Town lost 4-1 in the then-First Division and have not beat the West Midlands team since 1997.
If the Robins were to progress, they would find themselves in the semi-finals with a chance to play at the historic Wembley very near.
