Women have revealed what size penis they find most attractive – and which one could lead them to cheat.
The findings, coming from a recent survey of 1,400 women, confirm the common stereotype: bigger is better.
More than two-thirds said if their partner’s member is less than four inches erect, they likely won’t be fully satisfied during sex.
But there can still be too much of a good thing. Over half think an erect penis over nine inches is too big for them due to pain, the man reaching orgasm too quickly, and him being ‘sexually selfish.’
And four in 10 women said they could consider cheating on their partner if his penis was too small, while over half would break up with him if it’s too big.
With these findings in mind, the researchers found the ‘Goldilocks range’ is between six and eight inches erect.
But most men can’t measure up to this. The researchers cited a recent review which found that the average erect penile length is between 5.1 and 5.5 inches.
However, men who don’t fall into this range need not fret. Women in the survey also mentioned foreplay and their partner being gentle as key factors in their satisfaction.

The team of researchers from sexual health website Bad Girls Bible surveyed 1,387 women over age 18, with the average age being 42.
More than eight in 10 of them identified as heterosexual, while just 13 percent were bisexual and less than one in 100 were homosexual.
The team found that the smaller a man’s penis was, the less likely women were to be satisfied during sex.
In fact, up to nine in 10 women said they would not be satisfied with a penis between one and three inches.
This is considered a micropenis, which affects just one in 10,000 US men, according to the Cleveland Clinic.
And two-thirds of women surveyed said that four inches or less was still too small for them.
Interestingly, one in 200 reported that even a one-inch member was still too big for them, which may have reflected the views of the homosexual women.
The researchers said this also could be due to vaginismus, a rare condition in which the vagina suddenly tightens up when you try to insert something into it.
For many women with this condition, penetrative sex is simply not enjoyable.
However, the above chart shows that a penis that’s nine inches or longer is too large for most women

On the opposite end of the spectrum, the team found that penises can also be too big to satisfy.
About 51 percent of women surveyed said that nine inches is too large for them, while just 4.5 percent considered six inches too big.
Pain was the most common reason the women cited for shying away from more well endowed men, as this can cause issues like vaginal bruising and tearing.
However, those who prefer a man with a larger penis said they enjoyed ‘the feeling.’
Additionally, nearly four in 10 said their partner didn’t do enough foreplay, and just under 30 percent said he was too ‘sexually selfish’ due to his size.
Given the findings, the researchers suggested that the ideal range is between six and eight inches, with 7.2 inches while erect being the best size.
This range left 77 percent of women fully satisfied, with nearly nine in 10 preferring a seven-inch length.
The above pie chart shows that just over 40 percent of women surveyed would consider cheating on their partner if his penis was too small
Fewer women would consider infidelity with a man whose penis is too large, though 30 percent could think about it
And it’s not just length that’s important. Two-thirds of the women said both length and width are crucial to satisfaction
On average, the women surveyed preferred a penis two inches wide. This is just under the national average of 1.8 inches.
For comparison, a standard golf ball is 1.7 inches wide.
And the consequences of an ill-sized penis are greater than just a bad night in bed.
The team found that 44 percent of women consider a man’s penis size before deciding to date them.
Additionally, four in 10 said they are less likely to date someone with a penis they think is too small.
Meanwhile, 57 percent said they would consider breaking up with their partner is their penis is too big, with one in 10 stating they would ‘always’ end the relationship in this situation.
And if they thought their partner’s penis was too small, two-thirds would consider breaking up with him.
The wrong size could even lead some women to cheat on their partners.
Four in 10 women surveyed said they would consider cheating on their partner with a small penis, while nearly one-third would think about being unfaithful with their partner whose penis is too big.
Just under half also said a man’s size matters to them during a one night stand, and over two-thirds believe it’s important during a ‘friends with benefits’ situation.
The team said: ‘We can clearly see that penis size matters a lot more to a woman’s pleasure for those in friends with benefits relationships when compared to a one night stand.’
