Here’s the much anticipated Angry Old White Guys’ year in review.
So, the federal government is giving people a tax break for two months. Buying votes, are we? The Liberals have been buying votes since Newfoundland became the 10th province.
Provincially, are premiers Doug Ford and Danielle Smith the only two common-sense leaders we have? If so, boy, do we have problems.
On the municipal front, Ottawa Mayor Mark Sutcliffe promised 300 electric charging stations and a million trees planted during his first term in office. How’s that going, Mark? What? I can’t hear you!
Merry Christmas, if you can still say that. Hope the Clausman is good to you.

DEBT MUST BE CONTROLLED
It is long past time that public debt for any and all levels of government must be controlled, otherwise we risk facing the same reality that the city of Detroit and the nation of Greece (and now France) faced.

Government employees, bureaucrats and politicians must bear responsibility for overspending, mis-spending, poor work ethics of some of their compatriots, etc., and in tough times be held accountable.
Wage and salary freezes or refutations to help balance the ledgers must be considered and understood. Canada Post has a massive deficit — sorry, employees, but there is no more money to be given until the ledgers get back into the black figures; that’s life.
During COVID, public service employees took no hit compared to those who pay their salaries and benefits, and now it’s time to do their fair share.

GUN MOVE WILL DO NOTHING
With the recent announcement “banning” additional firearms, Emperor Justin Trudeau is chasing a failed ideology that will have no effect on reducing gun violence or improving public safety.

Instead of concrete measures such as improving border security to slow the flow of smuggled firearms from the U.S. or reforming the bail system to keep those who commit criminal offences with firearms off the streets, he chooses the easy, ineffective and virtue-signalling path.
And, in case you haven’t noticed, yes, the country is on fire.
How much of Canada will be left before we are rid of him?
