- Sign-ups are now open, and participants can nab exclusive cosmetics!
FAU-G: Domination, the upcoming made-in-India shooter, is set to release soon. But if you’re excited about getting your hand on Nazara’s highly-anticipated shoot ’em up, you’ll be equally eager to find that they’re also hosting an Android beta. Intended to stress-test the servers and systems, it’ll feature all the launch content, and some goodies for participants.
Available from December 22nd, the Android beta of FAU-G will include all playable weapons, modes, maps and playable characters coming to the shooter on launch. It’ll also be a chance for you to try out optimisations, sound enhancements and weapon balancing already adopted from community feedback.
You can sign up for the closed beta via this form, with participants set to receive exclusive cosmetic items to use in-game that won’t be available post-launch. Some lucky players will also be able to win real-world, limited edition FAU-G: Domination merchandise to boot.
Shoot ’em up
I’m interested to see how FAU-G: Domination does upon its full release and in this beta. As I’ve written before there’s a tremendous amount of potential within India for a local developer to make a genuine homegrown hit. But competition is equally stiff, yet whoever cracks that whether it be the upcoming FAU-G or already-released Indus, could be on to a major winner.
Personally, I think competition will be very hot for a while yet, and that we won’t see a clear winner. But whatever pushes the envelope and brings attention to India’s own domestic development scene can only be good.
In any case, there are a lot of releases out there that let you indulge your taste for high-octane action. As we head into the Christmas months and things wind down, if you need something to occupy you over that time why not dig into our list of the top 25 shooting games for Android?
