1 — Laugh while supporting a cause
Saskatoon Soaps Improv Comedy presents Family Christmas Dinner. Everyone thinks their family is crazy, especially at Christmas, but wait until you see the Soaps family. Food, games, memories and quirky family members are sure to keep you laughing in a holiday show filled with overindulgence and over-the-top emotions. 2 — Embrace the longest night of the year
The Saskatoon Iranian Cultural Association presents a Yalda Night celebration, honouring the longest night of the year with an evening of dance and traditional snacks. A tradition with thousands of years of history, Yalda celebrates unity and welcomes light during the darkest of nights. Enjoy live performances, open dancing, food and beverages throughout the evening. The event is Friday at St. George’s Senior Citizen’s Centre at 7 p.m. Learn more at saskculture.ca.
3 — Celebrate Christmas with puppets
Wide Open Children’s Theatre‘s Christmas concert features festive songs, comedy sketches and puppetry. The interactive show celebrates the holiday season with sing-alongs, laughter and a bit of holiday mischief the whole family can enjoy. The concert runs to Dec. 24 at the Refinery. 4 — Experience holiday magic
The annual Eaton’s Once Upon a Christmas display captures the magic of the holiday season. Featuring tableaus, stories and mechanical creations, the display has delighted visitors of all ages since 1987, becoming a holiday staple for local and visiting families.
