The Avalanche Rod is one of the six new fishing rods that have been added to Fisch has part of the Northern Expedition update, and it’s also one of the easier ones to unlock.
The latest update has introduced plenty of new and exciting content, which includes new types of fish. While you can catch them with your existing rods, it’s always cool to use something new. Let’s take a look at how you can obtain the Avalanche Rod in Fisch.
How to get the Avalanche Rod in Fisch
The Avalanche Rod is located in the same position as the Pickaxe, so make sure to check this guide out. Here’s how you can reach the location and make the rod all yours. For starters, you need to spawn your boat and reach the Northern Summit.
From there, you’ll have to take the path that leads you inside the island, and you’ll find a couple of ladders that will take you close to another set. Take the second set of ladders to climb up a few cliffs till the main path leads towards the left.
Take the narrow pass through the right, and you’ll have to walk along a cliff-side path. You’ll reach a point where there will be a gap between the two cliffs. Here, you’ll need to use your glider to go to the other side. Head straight until you come across another set of ladders to climb up and reach Overgrowth Caves.
At this point, you’ll find that there are ladders available on both sides. Take the one that’s on your left, and you’ll come across a new campsite. Here, you’ll find the Avalanche Rod beside one of the two tents. You’ll have to spend C$35,000 to add it to your inventory. Here are the stats of the new rod.

For C$35,000, it’s a great rod, especially if you’re yet to get the late-game rods. It has a decent balance of both Luck and Lure Speed, which can be powered up with the help of correct Enchantments.
