If you’ve been anticipating the second season of Squid Game as much as I have, you’ve likely had its release date marked on your calendar for awhile now. But for the less obsessive viewers out there, Squid Game season 2 drops on Thursday, December 26 on Netflix.
And for those who want to begin their binge the minute the show drops, season 2 will be premiering at 3am ET/12am PT.
Squid Game is Netflix’s most popular show to date, spawning games, reality shows, and parodies aplenty. The series comes from a talented team of Korean filmmakers and stars some of the country’s biggest names, including Lee Jung-Jae, Lee Byung-hun and Gong Yoo. The second season also stars Jo Yuri, a member of my favourite Kpop group of all time, Iz*one. Here’s hoping she either survives until the end or has an fittingly epic end.
Netflix has stated that season 2 will only have seven episodes, down from nine in the first season. The showrunner of the series, Hwang Dong-hyuk, also confirmed that the show will have a third and final season.
And if you’re looking for a fireplace to put on your tv, consider using the Squid Game fireplace for a slightly eerie vibe this holiday.
