Many of us have fond memories of tearing open presents on Christmas and finding a game inside. That warm feeling of settling down after all of the festivities to play a game that you’ve been anticipating all year. The heat of the fireplace gently crackling, the lights from the tree softly glowing. There’s nothing quite like playing a new game on Christmas.
And it just so happens that I have the perfect game to play on December 25th. A game that is about family, connection, and enjoying the moment. It’s a game that has been seen by many, but appreciated by few.
I am, of course, talking about Death Stranding.
‘Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the site
Not an editor was stirring, not even a byte,
The articles were handled by Chris’ hands with care,
In hopes that Jon Lamont’s nose would not flare.
For Death Stranding did spring to the mind of young Chris,
Opportunity to speak of this game he could not miss,
Left alone to run the site, the day finally came,
Then to the couch he would go to play the perfect Christmas game.
Now Norman Reedus, now Mads Mikkelsen, now Kojima and Hardman!
On Lindsay Wagner, on Margaret Qualley, on Shinkawa and Deadman!
To the mountains, to the beach, to the creepy baby’s call,
Now walk that way! Walk that way! Walk that way all!
Should you find yourself unsure of what to watch or play this Christmas, consider delivering gifts and cheer across the country in Hideo Kojima’s masterpiece, Death Stranding (soon to be a major motion picture).
Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night!
Death Stranding is available on PlayStation, Xbox, and Steam.
