Check Out What’s New in Card-en-Ciel
INTI CREATES has released the second major content update for Card-en-Ciel, their deckbuilding roguelike JRPG. Version 1.2.0 introduces a new gameplay mode, Challenge Battles, and the Parallel Card system. It will allow players to choose from a variety of options. The update brings new features, including selectable Wild Card presets and accessibility options to make gameplay easier. Players can now enjoy the new version starting today on their preferred platform.
Version 1.2.0 of Card-en-Ciel introduces Challenge Battles, a fresh gameplay mode. You’ll tackle challenges in these battles using a fixed set of cards and Muses provided at the start. With your deck arranged in the same order every time, there’s no element of chance, just strategy and skill. These puzzles are designed to push your abilities, but you can retry as often as needed. If things get tricky, Ancie is ready with helpful hints. Completing each Challenge Battle unlocks a “Parallel Card” for you to use, adding a rewarding twist to your efforts.
A Parallel Card is a fresh twist on an existing card, ready to use before heading into dungeons. Once enabled, it replaces the original when earned in dungeons or battle rewards, opening up new strategies and gameplay options. You can switch back to the original card anytime through the base menu, giving you full control. Experiment with different Parallel Cards to match your playstyle or mix and match to push for a higher score.
Version 1.2.0 also comes with new quality-of-life updates, including some of the most requested features. Here are the highlights:
– You can now save and load Wild Card presets.
– Accessibility options have been added, including auto-success on Action mini-games.
– Unobtained cards will now appear with a special mark. (This mark will appear after clearing the main story.)
