I am absolutely gobsmacked with the fact that Justin Trudeau is hanging in there and, by all accounts, plans on staying put.
It is like that scene from Monty Python and the Holy Grail, in which a knight has had both arms and legs cut off and still thinks that not only can he fight, but that he is likely to win.
Is top Trudeau aide Katie Telford keeping all reports of his demise from him and locking this marionette in a cupboard until the next time she decides to pull the strings?
While it is great fun to watch this travelling road show with its cast of side-show characters, it comes at a time when the stakes have never been higher and Canadians are the ones facing the consequences.

WATCH OUT, ANITA
Justin Trudeau and the ladies. Not!

Trudeau, our feminist prime minister, doesn’t “get” women.
First it was Jody Wilson-Raybould. Then came Jane Philpott.
Now it is Chrystia Freeland.
Our feminist prime minister does not want independent women around. He wants showpieces who mouth the party line. That explains why Mélanie Joly is the foreign affairs minister.
But push back and he pushes you out into the cold.
Watch out, Anita Anand. You already lost national defence to Bill Blair.

IN DEFENCE OF PUBLIC SERVANTS
Enough is enough. Those whining against public servants working from home lack respect for and understanding of those who deliver services and programs to them.
Working from home has so many more advantages for the public because public servants do not waste their time in trying to find space to work from. When they do find office work space, which is rarely, they spend time setting up their working space, finding space to place their personal belongings and working from spaces that are not conducive to meetings.
Those who criticize public servants for wanting better working conditions to serve you, the public, should think out of the box and thank public servants for their service.
