A Windsor man is wanted on more than two dozen criminal charges following a series of car thefts around the city.
Windsor police said Tuesday they have issued an arrest warrant for 29-year-old James St. Jean.
Between Nov. 28 and Dec. 10, police said they responded to four reports of vehicle thefts from parking lots in industrial areas of the city.
Each time, the thief allegedly arrived early in the morning, entered an unlocked vehicle, and drove away.

In one incident, investigators said the thief “unlawfully” used a credit card that he found in one of the vehicles.
The Windsor police Auto Theft Unit said it has identified St. Jean as the suspect in all four cases. He is wanted on 27 charges.
They include four counts of theft of a motor vehicle; three counts of possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000; two counts of possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000; three counts of wearing a disguise to commit an offence; fraud under $5,000; unauthorized use of a credit card; dangerous driving; and 12 counts of operation of a vehicle while prohibited.
