Jeopardy! fans have discovered a spelling error on a piece of merchandise.
On Thursday, January 2, a fan made a post on the hit game show’s subreddit page and titled it, “Anyone else notice this error on 2025 Jeopardy calendar packaging?“
The user included a photo of the back of the 2025 Jeopardy! calendar packaging, which read, “The clue is printed on the front of each page and the correct answer is printed on the back so try not to peak.”
The person drew a red arrow pointing to the word peak and explained how the word is supposed to be spelled peek based on its usage in the sentence.
“‘Peak’ instead of ‘peek’? Obviously a minor quibble, but strange to see this lack of professionalism on a Jeopardy product,” they noted.
Other Redditors chimed in on the spelling mistake, sharing their thoughts on the unusual gaffe.
“It’s unreasonable the amount of satisfaction I get from finding these mistakes,” one person commented.
“It’s ok, Jeopardy fans are not pedantic know-it-alls eagerly scrutinizing every bit of text in the hope that they can point out someone else’s mistuke [sic],” another fan joked.
“Boy, I really hope somebody got fired for that blunder,” an individual commented.
The calendar — which retails for $17.99 on the Jeopardy! website — allows fans to experience the classic answer/question format featured on the quiz show. The word peak is also misspelled under the product overview on the website.
Last month, Jeopardy! viewers received some good news, as it was announced that season 39 reruns, hosted by Ken Jennings, would be airing on the Game Show Network (GSN).
The GSN made the announcement via an Instagram reel captioning it, “The newest addition to the Game Show Network line up? What is… @jeopardy! Jeopardy! with Ken Jennings starting Monday, January 13 at 9p on Game Show Network!”
Jeopardy! fans are also gearing up for the Wednesday, January 8 premiere of Celebrity Jeopardy! at 9/8c on ABC. The spinoff, hosted by Ken Jennings, includes a star-studded cast.
