Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan have been longtime friends since they first shared the screenspace in 2014 on Captain America: The Winter Soldier.
The 82nd Golden Globes was nothing short of a star-studded extravaganza, which took place in Los Angeles on January 5. The recent award ceremony gave us some of the memorable moments of the celebrities right at the beginning of the new year. One of such highlights is Anthony Mackie, the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s star known for his role as Sam Wilson aka Falcon, giving a shoutout to his co-star Sebastian Stan. The latter plays Bucky Barnes / Winter Soldier in the Marvel films.
The moment occurred when Anthony went on the stage to present the award for Best Animated Motion Picture alongside his new co-star, Harrison Ford. While addressing the people in the room, the 46-year-old actor took a moment to acknowledge his longtime pal Sebastian, saying, “We’re still friends with Sebastian Stan, by the way,” while he searched for The Apprentice actor in the ballroom.
When Harrison interrupted, Anthony made a hand-heart gesture, expressing his affection for his The Falcon and the Winter Soldier co-star. The wholesome clip immediately caught the attention of Marvel fans, who loved Anthony and Sebastian’s camaraderie.
One user said, “Love that they are really close like that. This is wholesome.” Another wrote, “Anthony Mackie is so funny. Love that dude.” Meanwhile, someone else remarked, “Anthony Mackie seems like a cool guy to work with on set.”
