Trudeau’s self-serving, self-pitying and self-aggrandizing resignation speech was the most cringe-worthy spectacle we’ve ever witnessed. And Gov. Gen. Mary Simon agreeing to prorogue Parliament to give the Liberal Party time to exchange one disastrous leader for another is an affront to democracy. When the election finally happens we hope the Liberals never recover from the humiliating defeat they so richly deserve.

(We’ve come to expect a certain level of cringe from the soon-to-be-former PM.)
Another Trudeau
Re: (Bell: Trudeau dumps Canadians into one hell of a chaotic mess.) One of the main consequences of voting in another Trudeau to be this nation’s prime minister back in October 2015. Seems Central Canadians don’t learn life’s lessons that well. Perhaps, they may want to consider getting some quick tutoring lessons from Western Canadians?

Don’t do it, Mark
While Mark Carney takes a few days to think about running for the position of a political leader, why would he risk connecting with the Liberals that way and risk losing his reputation and our view of his integrity? He is a smart person, we have better jobs for him.
NICK BIRD
(Perhaps Carney believes he can change the fortunes for the Liberals)
Gould’s got it
My choice for new Liberal leader and prime minister is Karina Gould. She is well-experienced, well-educated and at 37 she would be the youngest prime minister. When I met her, I told her and she was genuinely touched by my faith and believing in her, and she will make a great PM. It is time for long-term female PM and she will connect with the new generation of would-be politicians.

(Gould has about as much of a chance of being PM as the Liberals do winning the next election)
Border problems
Donald Trump is worried about our borders, saying many illegal immigrants come through to the U.S.A. from Canada. Hmm! Just a thought here, Trumpster. What is that saying about your own border patrol? Why are they allowed in? Open your eyes, the problem is split 50/50. The U.S. is just as much at fault. Canada the 51st state? Yeah, no thank you very much.
ROY BANMAN
(It will be one of Trump’s first acts as president — to secure their border)
