Chicago trio Horsegirl have shared new single ‘Switch Over’.
The group’s excellent debut album was a firm CLASH favourite, and new LP ‘Phonetics On And On’ promises yet more indie rock treasures. Out on February 14th, Horsegirl have painted a picture with previously released singles, ‘2468’ and ‘Julie’.
Out now, new single ‘Switch Over’ is a deliriously inventive miniature, the motorik pulse supplied by Gigi Reece reconfiguring the autobahn as a Chicago freeway.
The song packs data into its succinct span, with Nora Cheng and Penelope Lowenstein layering their voices over one another to disorienting effect.
Guy Kozak directs the video, a playful shoot that finds Horsegirl acting both as the central band, and the audience.
Tune in now.
