Fifteen people freezing their wages at the Calgary City Hall in the election year is an insult to the voters. If you want to lead by example, then freezing the wages of all city employees for a year would be an indicator council could be taken seriously. Of course the privileged city staff would be outraged that anyone would even entertain such heretical idea. So, keep your wages and run on your abysmal record.

Terrific bus driver
I haven’t been able to find a way to tell Calgary transit what a great bus driver they have on the 93 route. I was getting ready to board a 93 bus heading west from Westbrook station at 11:45 a.m. on Monday. This very nice driver got off the bus, unloaded all the items from the grocery cart, still on Walmart property, and carried everything across the road and into the bus. He was going off shift and took the time to help me. He has been a favourite driver for a few years now. I’m sorry I don’t know his name. He is always so polite and helpful and Calgary transit is fortunate to have him as one of their drivers. I’m thanking him for his excellent service.

(Happy to hear, and we hope that driver knows how appreciated he is.)
Support withdrawn
Geee, I think I’ll go to hell and saddle up with the devil.
I am an conservative Albertan, and I believe in separation, but I now completely remove ALL and ANY support for Daneille Smith – and Kevin O’Leary. Thank you for completely revealing your true colours.

Trump tariffs
I’m not fully sure how these tariffs work. I would assume that the importer of record has to pay the tariffs, so Americans would pay the extra amount for our products. While energy is a significant import into the U.S.A. perhaps ALL energy exports should be temporarily paused to show the citizens of the U.S.A. that this is a critical import. The ideal timing would be a five day suspension starting the day before Trump’s inauguration, or when a big freeze comes down from Canada.

(We’re just hoping Trump has over promised, and plans to under deliver.)
