The Sydney Sixers and the Sydney Thunder shared the points after their final match was abandoned due to rain.
The Sixers will finish second, while the Thunder are locked in to finish third.
The reigning BBL champions Brisbane Heat became the first team eliminated from the 2024-25 season after a brutal loss to the Melbourne Renegades on Saturday night.
The Renegades three-wicket victory in the final round of the regular season kept their campaign alive thanks to a blistering 95 from rising star Jake Fraser-McGurk.
It was more runs than 22-year-old Fraser-McGurk had scored in the rest of his tournament combined.
But the Perth Scorchers then moved into fourth when they beat the Adelaide Strikers by five wickets later on Saturday night.
In the final game of the regular season, the Stars can punch their finals ticket or the Hurricanes can extend their lead at the top of the table.

So at this stage the final series will see the Hurricanes host the Sixers in the qualifier, with the Thunder to host the Scorchers in the knockout.
Then the loser of the qualifier will meet the winner of the knockout in the challenger for the final spot in the final.
