Following what’s expected to be a busy free agency period beginning on Feb. 11, the next generation of stars will take centre stage as the CFL Combine is coming to Regina from Mar. 21-23.
The top prospects will gather in the Queen City for medical testing and measurements, on- and off-field testing while being put through individual drills for all nine CFL clubs to watch.

The combine will lead right into the CFL Draft and CFL Global Draft where many of those top prospects will hear their names called on Apr. 29. The Global draft begins at 9 a.m. Saskatchewan time while the Canadian draft begins at 6 p.m.
Following the drafts, teams across the league will get a first look at their selections along with more first-year players as rookie camps open on May 7.
Rosters then have to be reduced to 85 players on May 10 before main training camps open on May 11.
Just two days after that on May 13, rosters have to be trimmed to 75 players before the pre-season begins. The opening game on the exhibition schedule features the Calgary Stampeders taking on the B.C. Lions on May 19. The Saskatchewan Roughriders will open the pre-season on May 24 in Winnipeg against the Blue Bombers.
Following the second pre-season game for each team, CFL training camps will officially close on May 31 before teams enter Week 1 of the 2025 season, which begins June 5 when the Roughriders host the Ottawa Redblacks at Mosaic Stadium.
