Saskatchewan’s men’s and women’s 2025 provincial curling championships are officially underway in Kindersley.

The top nine men’s teams and top nine women’s teams from across the province are competing in the SaskTel Tankard and Viterra Prairie Pinnacle respectively, with action being held at the same location at the same time for the first time.
Both events feature an eight-game round robin followed by a four-team page playoff. The championship matches are set for Sunday with the women’s game at 3 p.m. and the men’s final at 7 p.m.

The men’s winner will represent Saskatchewan at the Montana’s Brier from Feb. 28 to Mar. 9 in Kelowna, B.C., where they will be joined by another Saskatchewan squad skipped by Mike McEwen, who has already earned one of three pre-qualified entries.
Meanwhile, the women’s winner will represent the province at the Scotties Tournament of Hearts from Feb. 14-23 in Thunder Bay, Ont.
On the men’s side, three of the top teams got off to a 2-0 start on Tuesday as Team Rylan Kleiter, Team Kelly Knapp and Team Steve Laycock all remained undefeated through the opening day. There are a pair of draws again on Wednesday before some intriguing matchups on Thursday.
