Durham Regional Police have charged two men with multiple offences following a jewelry store robbery in Ajax last month.

Police said officers responded a robbery at VP Jewellery on Harwood Ave. N. on Dec. 30, 2024, at around 1:10 p.m.
Cops allege two male suspects entered the store, tied up an employee and stole an estimated $1.4-million worth of gold, silver and jewelry.
The suspects fled on foot before officers arrived.
Police said the first suspect was located on Monday in the Hamilton area and taken into custody without incident
On Tuesday, the second suspect was located in North York and taken into custody without incident. Police said a search warrant was served on his residence.
Andrew McFarland, 37, faces 10 charges including one count each of robbery and forcible confinement and five counts of breaching probation.
Derek Kozak, 41 of Richmond Hill, faces four charges including robbery and forcible confinement.

Meanwhile, four suspects are wanted after an armed robbery at a jewelry store in the Oshawa Centre mall.
Durham Regional Police say officers responded to a robbery at Paris Jewellers on Wednesday at around 7 p.m.
Police allege four male suspects dressed in black clothing entered the store and smashed display cases to steal various pieces of jewelry.
Jewelry was also stolen from the store vault after a suspect made threats toward an employee to open a safe, cops said.
The victims did not sustain any physical injuries.
The suspects fled the mall in a light-coloured SUV.
The first suspect is described as white, approximately 6 feet tall and wearing a black mask.
The second suspect is described as brown and approximately 5 feet tall.
