From Feb. 14-23 in Thunder Bay, Ont., the top 18 women’s curling teams from across the country will compete for the national championship and the right to represent Canada at the World Women’s Curling Championship, which begins Mar. 15 in South Korea.
After winning her fourth Scotties title in 2024, Rachel Homan and her team come in as the defending champions who will be competing in Pool A alongside Alberta’s Selena Sturmay, Alberta’s Kayla Skrlik, British Columbia’s Corryn Brown, Northern Ontario’s Krista McCarville, Saskatchewan’s Nancy Martin, New Brunswick’s Melissa Adams, Prince Edward Island’s Jane DiCarlo and Nunavut’s Julia Weagle.

Competing in Pool B will be Manitoba’s Kerri Einarson, Manitoba’s Kaitlyn Lawes, Nova Scotia’s Christina Black, Manitoba’s Kate Cameron, Ontario’s Danielle Inglis, Quebec’s Laurie St-Georges, Northwest Territories’ Kerry Galusha, Newfoundland and Labrador’s Brooke Godsland and Yukon’s Bayly Scoffin.
The tournament will feature an eight-game round robin played within their pool before the top three teams from each pool advance to the playoff round. There will be no tiebreakers but instead, head-to-head results will determine who gets in. If that result doesn’t solve the tie, last-shot draw rankings will be used.
Last year, Team Saskatchewan — skipped by Skylar Ackerman — finished the round robin with a 4-4 record and didn’t qualify for the playoffs.
