Being an Ottawa Senators fan, it’s always nice to dream or speculate about what could happen. Always the big “what if.”
The standings on Jan. 28 showed the “mighty” Toronto Maple Leafs were only ahead of the Senators by six points. That is not a huge margin. Of course, if you listen to the Toronto sports media, the Leafs are on their way to the Stanley Cup final.
If the Sens can manage to put together a decent streak, and if the Leafs or Florida Panthers falter a little, well now, is it possible the Sens could be fighting for first place in the Atlantic Division?
Seriously, six points is not a mountain, just a modest win streak. Once they start clicking as they did in December, well, one never knows.
Yes, I can dream. But sometimes dreams become reality.

LOOK IN THE MIRROR, MARC
Federal Immigration Minister Marc Miller is the real jackass for calling Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre that and accusing him of weaponizing the gender issue for simply answering a question truthfully.
If anyone weaponizes this issue, it’s the Liberal government. Justin Trudeau was gung-ho to proclaim he formulated a balanced cabinet made up of men and women. I did not hear him mention any other gender.
Miller should concentrate on improving his lousy ministerial performance before throwing meritless insults at others.

AGREED, THEY WON’T STAND UP
Re: Lilley, Carney’s policies will not stand up against Trump, online, Jan. 24
Truer words were never spoken as Donald Trump implements his many election promises. Trump already has done away with DEI (diversity, equity and inclusion) policies in government. Last week, Trump basically destroyed the World Economic Forum/globalist agenda while speaking directly to the elitists holding their annual meeting in Davos.

Trump informed this radical group of his plans for massive exploration of oil and gas, thereby undermining their hopes for decarbonization. Trump also just pulled out of the Paris climate agreement. He calls fighting climate change “the great green scam.” Trump will close the borders to illegals, with globalists wanting mass immigration and open borders.
With Liberal leadership hopeful Mark Carney being very closely aligned with the WEF/globalist/United Nations radical climate change agenda, this puts him at direct odds with Trump.
